On 31 March 2025, three KU student organizations – Jewish Students for People’s Liberation (JSPL), KU Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), and the KU chapter of the Young Democratic Socialists of America (YDSA) – introduced “A Resolution to Recognize the Ongoing Genocide in Palestine” to the KU Student Senate. The introduction to the resolution reads as follows:

Recognize that the ongoing violence being perpetrated by country of Israel against the people of Palestine constitutes a genocide based on extensive analysis and reporting from international human rights bodies and organizations of Israeli conduct in and around the war in Gaza, settlements in the West Bank and Golan Heights, and apartheid.

If you are interested in supporting this resolution, please email your student senators and encourage them to vote in support. A list senators can be found in the legislative roster.

Solidarity, and Free Palestine.
