Hurricane Helene is the second-most deadly hurricane in 25 years. [1] The hurricane has killed at least 202 people and caused 160 billion dollars' worth of damages. [2]

When asked if the federal government could be giving more to the victims of Hurricane Helene President Biden responded, “No. We've given them - we have preplanned a significant amount of it, even though they didn't ask for it yet - had - hadn't asked for it yet.” [3]

On the same day, September 29th, Congress and Biden passed an 8.7-billion-dollar military aid shipment to Israel. [4]
